In Indianapolis, there is a lot of construction happening downtown near City Market. There are 40 concrete barriers surrounding a 3 block area. Artists were invited to create a vision/submit proposals for consideration in the project. I was chosen as one of 13 artists to beautify this space. I was honored to be included and the transformation is exciting and uplifting.

The painting wraps around the top of the barrier, extending a pop of color on the back of the barriers.

I loved being a part of this fun project. As I drive around Indianapolis, I now notice all the blank barriers and can't help but imagine how the world would be a much brighter place with them painted too.

This project shows how concrete doesn’t have to stay plain and gray. Adding murals to construction barriers brings color, personality, and vibrancy to otherwise dull spaces, transforming the environment into something engaging and uplifting.

These are beautiful. I wish my clients would be open to adding art to their concrete walls and projects after completion. It would make for such a beautiful scene, as opposed to a large grey wall. https://www.harpleyhouse.com/blog/8-things-your-concrete-competitors-are-doing-that-youre-not/
